Chase Sapphire Lounge – BOS

Hello readers, it’s been a couple weeks since our last narrative. I have been on travel last week for work and I got to enjoy the Chase Sapphire Lounge at the Boston Logan Airport while on travel. I have to say, it’s a beautiful space with excellent food, service, and amenities.

I work around the Boston area and was traveling out to Tennessee on a Monday afternoon. It was the perfect time for me to check out the Chase Sapphire Lounge since I get to sit down have some food and drinks while trying to get some more work done before boarding my flight.

I should note that I get unlimited access to the lounge with the Chase Sapphire Credit card, from my research, other travel credit card with Priority Lounge access gets free access once a year.

I arrived at the lounge around 1 PM, perfect time for some lunch. I am a big foodie, so seeing all the wonderful options available immediately excited me. Ordering food was simple, use the QR code on the table, order on your phone just like you would ordering take outs, hit submit and wait for your food to be delivered by one of the server. You can order food and alcoholic drinks directly from your phone. The phone does ask you to confirm you are of drinking age, but no ID was checked upon ordering and food delivery. While waiting for my hot food to be delivered, naturally I wander off to the drink station and the buffet. There are wide variety of drinks available from the classic Coke to the newer “healthy” soda Olipop. They also have cold brew coffee and Spa water on tap, a couple espresso machines, and tap for water (cold, hot, sparkling). Over at the buffet, there are variety of appetizers and small dishes already plated. I got some crispy brussels sprouts, beef stew, chilled grilled vegetable, and soy Korean fried chicken. The Korean fried chicken was absolutely delicious, I may even say that it’s the best I have had, given that I am not a big fan of Korea fried chicken. I know it’s a controversial topic, but there is just something about southern fried chicken that I find more intriguing. The grilled vegetable was the perfect compliment to the fried chicken.

Not long after comes my drink and the rest of the hot food. I got a gin cocktail that I don’t remember the name, but it was absolutely delicious. It has a warm honey taste that just goes so well with the food. I got almost every hot food available, chicken piccata, burger, noodles, and seafood soup.

The chicken piccata was not really chicken piccata, it was like a weird chicken noodle soup. The chicken was breading, but in the broth it was not longer crunchy, 3/10. I actually forgot what the dish was because it was so soupy.

The noodles were great, the sauce was wonderful, slight heat with deep flavor. The tofu is slightly fried and the noodles had a good crunch. I don’t think they are regular flour noodles but some sort of “healthy” noodles. 8/10

The mussels and shrimp in the seafood soup was fresh and delicious. the broth itself didn’t have the boldest flavor, it was rather mellow with a subtle hint of seafood. 5/10

The burger was the best item second to the Korean fried chicken. The patty was juicy, the burger sauce complimented the meat and brioche bun very nicely. 9/10. Oh the fries were quite good. It’s no McDonalds, and for real restaurant style fries, a solid 7.5.

After the feast, I tried the spa water on tap. It was interesting. Initially I thought it would be chilled filter water, but that wasn’t it. It was chilled, but it also seem to have a slight cucumber flavor and slightly sparkling.

I also tried out the lounge’s free wellness room, it has a couple massage chair. Review for the massage chair later.

Right before I board the plane, I had to get some desert. I tried the lemon bar and whipped mascarpone with berry sauce.

The service of the lounge is absolutely spectacular. There are multiple servers walking around all the time ready to clean up tables and bring over food. I would’ve never expected to receive service like this without having to go on a cruise or other country. The lounge use real ceramic and glasswares with real silverware that makes the the entire experience feel luxurious. The overall design feels upscale with touches of wood, black, and gold all around.

My only complaint, some of the chairs aren’t the most comfortable, more artistic than useful.

Have you tried other lounges that impressed you?
